How really bad is it to ride a motorbike in Pattaya ?

I have read stories that it is awful but surely in their off season, tooling around on a 125 cc not doing anything wild is quite ordinary ? Can anyone help me on this ?

If you are an experienced rider its scary enough if you are a novice don’t bother.

How do i get a van transfer from Suvarnabhumi airport to Pattaya?

Any suggestion, We don’t want to get the public transport as we 4 of us have so many luggages.

you can rent a van at the airport, believe me someone will approach you. taxis are too small to carry 4 people and luggages. not sure of the cost maybe someone here has taken a van in the past.

Is Pattaya worth going to for a first time visit to Thailand?

What about mini siam and mini world? What about that park Ancient City that has the miniature highlights of Thailand, is it worth seeing?

Pattaya isn’t the nicest of places in Thailand – there are seedy areas and the beach isn’t good. Phuket, Krabi, Phi Phi etc are far better.

It’s worth a visit to Ayutthaya, and there are plenty of sights within Bangkok itself, such as the reclining Buddha and the Grand Palace (next door to each other).

Be brave and try the street food. As long as you can see it’s fairly clean, and the food is hot, you should be ok. Don’t drink the tap water; don’t even wash your toothrbush in it. Enjoy.

Pattaya residents, Is it better to buy meat from Foodland or Tesco instead of the local market?

Presently we buy our veg from the market but always get the meat from a supermarket.

i think you should buy the meat from the market as it sells faster and is fresher i reccomend the market in nerm plub wan in pattaya i bought food from there for months and never had a bad stomach cook it well and its swell, prices are cheaper and supermarkets are no angels in thailand

i would like to go from pattaya to koh-chang in thailand,it is a island near trat .

By car you are looking at 31/2 hours. By bus, a lot more, since it stops many times.

Koh Chang Island is a little bit before Trat from Pattaya. You have to take a ferry to reach Koh Chang.

Any travel agency in Pattaya can guide you there. Good trip. I love Koh Chang!

I’m going to Pattaya (Thailand) in October how much money will I need for 10 days?

Depends on what you want to do. Hotels are cheap–from 600 baht up/day. Food is cheap–Thais can live on 40 baht/day. Beach chair (unbrella included) is 20 baht/day. Transportation around town is free if you walk, 10 baht each way using the bus. That’s the basics. If you want to have a vacation, include beer at 70 baht/bottle at a beer bar, bar fine at 300 at a beer bar, 1000 baht for your guest. Stuff to take back home can cost anything depending on what you get. I generally figure US$100/day which includes the room. Also, transportation from the airport to Pattaya via taxi is about 1200 baht each way.

Are there any expats / visitors of Pattaya who can tell me where I can get a shop sign made and fitted to a shop in Pattaya, Thailand. The sign needs to be created by a professional / someone who knows what there doing. I am going over there in a few months, but if anyone could help me, it would save me some time.

I got a sign made for my business from a shop on Pattaya Tai Road (South Road) across the street from Friendship Supermarket, good quality & price, the owner has good design ideas if you need. plus they will install it if you ask them.
