How far is Sansai from city central in Chiang Mai, Thailand?
Can please anyone tell me how far (by bus/ on foot) is the village of Sansai from the city central in Chiang Mai? We are thinking about booking a hotel in Sansai & although we want to be away from the crowd & noise we don’t want too be too far from the city central. thanks

I cannot be sure so others might have to correct me, but I think it is about five miles south of Chiang Mai city.
Theres not a lot of crowd and noise in Chiang Mai really.

Sansai is about 5 km north of the city center on highway 1001. There’s no bus service but you can catch one of the regular songteows (the pickup truck taxi with the benches in the back) from Chiang Mai directly to the Sansai market. The cost will probably be about 25 Baht.
