I second that, … I second that, don’t do drugs in Thailand. The consequences of getting caught are pretty severe, and once you get back out of jail some time, you will forever be denied re-entry to Thailand.

The Drugs are one … The Drugs are one problem you dont want to deal with here. Its not like it is in the western world – you get caught with Class 1 drugs here and its over for you as a westerner. You will likely not survive the prisons here, and if you do you will not be back again after your released, and good riddance to you if your a druggie.

My wife is from Issan, and we do visit her family a few times a year, but only for a couple days or so. I am not Thai, and my ways are not Thai. Nobody that didnt grow up living in Issan can stay there more than a few days and stay sane.
Again, I wouldnt want to live in Issan. Visit, yes…. but not live.
I stand by my comments, Pattaya is a very good place to spend your life. I have absolutely no regrets about moving here.
