The Aiport is closed???? in saskatoon or what? news to me
How about flying there. Why not check the web sites of major airlines like Air Canada, China Air and a few others. Goggle them and find out.

For those who are not aware yes the airports in Bangkok are shut down do to protesters blocking the airports. No in or out flights from Bangkok. Sorry to spoil your vacation plans.

Wait until the airport is open again. Pricing won't be stable until then.
Yes – both airports in Bangkok have been closed for days. Check out the news…

The airports in Bangkok Thailand are closed. Not in Saskatoon. Watch the news and you will see that they are having riots and protests over there, trying to get rid of the Prime Minister. It should be settled later this week when the King [Bhumibol] gives his annual birthday speech [advising the people what he thinks and who he supports], therefore shouldn’t be too long before the whole thing blows over. Currently tourists are stuck in Bangkok unable to get home or out of the country. By next year you should be right. Try googling some of the airlines after that for your flight costs etc.

Yo, bro – you gotta take off those earphones and check out the internet or some news programs every now and then! You know, just to keep up with current news events – like the terrorists attacks in India for instance!
First you have to determine where the nearest major airport is so you can have a place to start from. Then you have to choose Bangkok for the destination. Then you have to decide what airlines handle flights to Thailand from Canada. Sometimes your original flights are scheduled to meet up with other flights departing from major hubs in the US.
In the US, Delta/NWA, United Airlines and many Asian airlines fly routinely to Asia and Thailand. (China Airlines, Korean Airlilnes, Thai Airlines, Asiana, Eva Air and Cathay Pacific are a few companies.)
Try Air Canada for instance. They fly from Canada to Asia. Sometimes they take your money and you fly on another airline that they are affiliated with.

Just fill in the departure city and the arrival city (Bangkok) and the the dates you need. The price and itinerary shows up. Avoid weekends and holidays. Probably better Tuesday through Thursday departures. Check prices a few days before and after your preferred departure day for any price changes.
You can also ask which airlines to use for trips to Asia on the Canada board and see what suggestions come back. You can mention where you want to fly from and ask for the best airlines.
You can visit a local travel agency, they are good for telling you what airport to use and some other useful info. Their info is free! Wait until this latest airport trouble is settled though.
Good luck.
